Kangana Ranaut Was Appalled By Filmmakers Who Couldn't See Beyond Her Fair Skin; Calls Her Complexion 'Least Favourite Thing'
In her latest interview, Kangana Ranaut spoke about having a fair complexion and how some filmmakers could not see beyond her fair skin
Kangana Ranaut has never minced words. She wears her thoughts on her sleeves and speaks out whenever needed, even if it means calling for a controversy. Through Twitter, she has shared her views on many issues. Now, she has spoken about how some of the filmmakers, during her struggling days, could not see beyond her fair complexion. Kangana completed 15 years in the industry and in her interview she said that filmmakers were willing to provide her success basis her complexion. But she was not okay with it.
To Times of India, Kangana opened up about her struggling days and said, "I tried to make my own place and that was a big struggle. If I had to settle for what they were giving me, I don't think I would have come this far. For them, beauty was being fair. I was fair enough and I could have made a place for myself for 3-4 years, which anybody with a fair complexion can. So, that was all that they wanted. They were willing to give me that shelf life in return for the fair complexion. But I was not okay with that. My fair complexion is the least of my favourite things. There is so much more to me as an individual and I was appalled to see that they didn’t care about that. They had nothing to do with that. Now they must be surprised to see what kind of a person I turned out to be."
In the past, Kangana has made it to the headlines for turning down big deal endorsing fairness creams. She considered it to be her responsibility to not do so as every colour is beautiful.
